FAQ About Our Augusta, ME Pediatric Dental Practice

Do you accept insurance?

We do accept dental insurance. Have your insurance information on hand when you call to schedule an appointment so we can verify coverage for you. Most preventive and restorative dental procedures are covered by dental insurance. Procedures that are considered cosmetic or elective, like composite bonding, are not covered.

Do you provide financial assistance if needed?

You are responsible for paying all of your child’s treatment costs not covered by your dental insurance. We accept payment with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We offer financial assistance through CareCredit®, which has low minimum monthly payments and no interest financing

What do I need to bring with me for my first appointment?

Please complete a health history form before your child’s first visit. If you have a written referral from your child’s pediatrician or another dentist, please bring that to your child’s appointment. Also bring your dental insurance card and a list of current medications your child is taking.

Do you offer emergency appointments?

Yes, we do. Please see our Dental Emergencies page for more information. We give immediate attention to emergency situations during our regular office hours; if we are closed, call our office and follow the instructions provided.

What should I do if I need to cancel my child’s appointment?

We require at least 48 hours notice for any appointment that needs to be rescheduled or canceled. Appointments that are canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancelation charge.
